Mother’s Day Walk

Although there are no mothers in our Comino walking group, we want to recognize all mothers and those who give motherly care. Here is a picture from today’s trail with some poppy flowers in the foreground and pea flowers in the background. Many of the fields have a border of poppies along the path.

Today we made our way from Belorado to San Juan de Ortega, 24 kilometers, 15 miles. We passed through a Pine forest. Note how the trees are in even rows showing they were planted not naturally seeded.

Life on the trail. A pilgrim, me, resting, eating lunch, and cooling my feet.

Also every town, even the small ones, have an active church.  This is the church in Villafranca Montes de Oca, population 200.
