Pilgrims on the Long Path

Pilgrims, Phil and Bob on today’s path from Burgos to Hontanas. This stage matches the longest we will cover in one day, 32 kilometers about 20 miles. We have another 32 kilometer day next week. It was cool, windy, with a few showers.  Bob was the only one in our group to make it all the way to Hontanas by foot, but we have all safely arrived in Hontanas.

Just as we had entered Burgos, we left it through a stone gate.

Above Wind Power in Spain and below the flowers between our Camino path and the grain fields with threatening clouds.

And last a picture of a church and fountain in Rabe de las Calzada.  Note the faces on the carvings in the fountain.

Today and for the next few days low temperatures in the upper 30s with highs in the mid 50s, cloudy skies, wind but no rain.
